Parenting in Quarantine
Parenting is a tedious task, that too parenting in quarantine is undoubtedly a herculean task. When I ponder, why is it so, the main reason is we are doing helicopter parenting. (i.e) In the name of being careful and conscious, we are always chasing our kids to do this and that. We are not letting them to do things on their own. We are living their lives too. Khaled Hosseini says, " Children are not your colouring book, to fill with your favourite colours". Let them be on their own. When we discuss these troubles with our elderly people, such as mother or mother- in - law, we can hear the response like " we don't brought up kids like you. They grew themselves. We just feed and look after them, now and then". But the present scenario is not the same. We have much more responsibility in bringing our kids.
